What are Print-on-CD Activity Units? Print-on-CD are activity units prepared on CD-ROM. Instructors can print as many copies of each activity unit they need for their classrooms.
Exploring the World of Work Print-on-CD includes the following
10 activity units:

Activity #1: What Do I Want To Be?
The activities in this unit will help your students explore the type of work they would like to do in relation to their interests, personalities, and abilities. Activities include “Don’t Be A Round Peg In A Square Hole,” “I’ve Got To Be Me,” “What’s Right For You,” and many more.

Activity #2: Jobs, Jobs, Jobs
The activities in this unit will help your students explore the wide variety of jobs available in various fields and the skills needed to get those jobs. Plus activities such as “What’s Hot - What’s Not” will help them understand our changing job market.

Activity #3: Career Education and Training
Whether your students decide to go straight to work after high school or go to college, these activities will show them that there is more than one way to get the education and training they’ll need for a good career.

Activity #4: Making Career Choices
These activities will place your students in a variety of situations that require them to make critical career decisions. By practicing these decision-making skills, they’ll improve their chances of finding the career that is right for them and reaching their career goals.

Activity #5: Payday
These activities will teach your students what they need to know about those all important paydays. They’ll learn the difference between gross and net pay and the importance of fringe benefits such as health insurance. There’s even a trivia game to challenge them.

Activity #6: Resumes, Applications, Interviews
The activities in this unit will help your students learn the skills needed to “Get That Job.” They’ll learn to write cover letters and resumes, complete applications, and have successful interviews.

Activity #7: Succeed At Your Job
These activities will teach your students the ABCs of succeeding at work - from surviving those first days at a new job to dealing successfully with customers and finally making it to the top.

Activity #8: Succeed With Your Coworkers
These activities will teach your students the keys to creating a successful relationship with their coworkers. They’ll learn how to fit in at a new job, how to work as a team, and how to get along even with coworkers who drive them crazy.

Activity #9: Succeed With Your Boss
These activities will teach your students the secrets to creating a successful relationship with their boss or supervisor whether they find themselves working for a good or bad boss.

Activity #10: Bill Zane Discovers His Career
These activities follow Bill Zane from his high school graduation through the beginning of his career as a young journalist, and your students will help him make critical career decisions each step of the way.
